Downtown Crossing has some wonderful and free events to spice up the summer.  Like always Friday has been home to Art Fridays, and now they are expanding to Wednesdays as well now.  This is a perfect chance to shop for original works and artisan foods.   Then on Thursday’s astop on by for the WFNX Downtown Crossing Block Parties.  It take place in the Summer St. pedestrian zone and last from 5 to 8 and runs till August 30th.  Enjoy local bands and free appetizers from area restaurants like Max & Dylans, Elephant and Castle and more.  Cash bar with wine and beer is available as well.  Must to 21+ to attend.  Lastly do not forget the weekly free concerts happening throughout the district.  They start at noon and end at 2.  For a complete list of events visit bostonbid.org
